The single greatest influence on my understanding of the potential of performance, Ker Wells was one of my earliest and most defining creative collaborators. He was also my dearest of friends.

The evening in 1998 when I experienced Number Eleven Theatre’s inaugural production, Icaria, quite simply changed my life. In each of the many times that Ker and I found ourselves working together after that first meeting–as director and dramaturg, as co-creators, as co-authors and co-editors–my understanding of what is possible, and what might be, continued to evolve and expand.

He is missed deeply and by so very many.
